Nutrisystem’s own Deanna Otranto shows you how to make our Kicked Up Kale and Blueberry Smoothie. It’s as simple as putting the ingredients in a blender and pushing a button. Written directions are below, too. Enjoy!

Hi, everyone. I’m Deanna Otranto with Nutrisystem. Today I’m going to show you one of our member’s favorite recipes – the Kicked-Up Kale and Blueberry Smoothie. Adding kale to your smoothies is a really great way to get some extra nutrients in that your body needs like antioxidants, fiber, vitamins A, C and K, and even calcium. So the best part is if you don’t like kale, sneaking it into your smoothies is a really simple way to get it into your diet without having to taste it. So let’s get started.

The first thing you’re going to have to do is add all of your ingredients here to the blender: Your Nutrisystem Blueberry Burst Smoothie Mix, one cup of cold water, one tablespoon of fresh basil, one tablespoon of fresh lime juice, one tablespoon of honey, and then one cup of fresh kale.

And then all you’re going to do is blend this mixture until you get a nice creamy consistency and you can see the kale evenly distributed throughout. [Blender sound] And then once you’ve achieved that desired consistency, a nice creamy consistency, you can go ahead and remove the mixture, and the great thing about this recipe is that it makes just one serving so you can go ahead and pour it directly into your glass, and there you have it – a delicious blueberry burst smoothie that you’re going to love.
