“I’m a Southern girl―Alabama born and raised. My family and friends ate and cooked in true Southern style―everything was fried, smothered in cheese or bacon. Although I never really struggled with my weight as a child, genetics caught up to me as puberty hit.

When I headed off to college, I enjoyed late night fast food trips and one too many bowls of ice cream in the dining hall. I put no thought into what I was eating. After I graduated, I was on my own for the first time. I had my first job, first apartment, and was just too tired to worry about cooking healthy. I soon weighed in at about 260 pounds.

Fast forward a few years and I’m 275 pounds. My mom and sister decided to try Nutrisystem since my sister’s wedding was coming up. I started Nutrisystem, too―and LOVED it! I dropped 60 pounds by the wedding. I began to love eating healthy and exercising. Nutrisystem became (and still is) like a best friend―always there for me. I felt good knowing I was eating right, and that I could depend on the program to make losing weight easier. I didn’t have to worry about cooking after a long day. I learned what portion control really looks like, and how to eat and shop healthier.

I had no idea how amazing my 135 pound weight loss journey was going to be. Now, people I know―even family members―don’t recognize me. More importantly, I feel like a new person! I am healthier. Since I am a size 6-8 now, I can shop at most clothing stores―and enjoy doing so. I truly have had a life-changing experience with Nutrisystem.”
