5 Tips to Get Your Dream Jeans Out of the Closet and Around Your WaistArticle posted in: Diet & Nutrition
Want to fit in your jeans again? Is your favorite pair sitting in your closet just waiting to be worn? If so, you’re not alone and many other women are experiencing the very same denim dilemma.
A new survey conducted online in August by Harris Poll on behalf of Nutrisystem found that American women want to lose an average of 16.8 pounds to fit into their favorite pair of jeans and that 62 percent reported they own jeans that don’t fit.
(On Nutrisystem’s weight loss program, you can expect to lose up to 13 pounds and seven inches overall in your first month and an avg. of 1-2 pounds per week thereafter.* Dream jeans, here you come!)
What’s more, nearly 39 percent say they like to keep jeans in their closet that don’t fit to motivate them to lose weight so they can fit into them.
The survey also revealed that 20 percent of women say they own three to four pairs of jeans that no longer fit them and 66 percent say buying jeans is always a struggle because they never fit their body how they want them to.
Trying on those jeans that don’t fit from the back of your closet or even a new pair at the store can be frustrating, but being equipped with the right tips can help you get on the weight loss track and back in those jeans.
Nutrisystem Corporate Dietitian, Courtney McCormick, presents five quick and simple ways to put an end to those denim blues and help you fit in your jeans again:
1. Eat Smart and Often.
Aim to eat smaller meals every two to three hours, six times a day so that you don’t binge or overdo it. You’ll feel full and satisfied, which will help you make smarter choices.
2. Be Prepared.
Always keep a baggie of your favorite snacking veggies handy in the car, at work and on-the-go. If you feel a craving, snack on veggies guilt free.
3. Don’t Go At It Alone.
Losing weight isn’t exactly a cakewalk. But it doesn’t have to be impossible. Find a weight loss plan that works for you and fits in with your lifestyle.
