#HealthyHowTo: How to Peel a Mango 2 Ways

Nothing is more frustrating than trying to cut and peel a mango. We’re here to help you prep the delicious produce in two different (but equally simple!) ways. Then check out our tasty recipe starring this flavorful fruit.

Both hacks will begin with slicing the mango in thirds to remove the pit. You should have two halves with skin remaining.

Hack #1:  Score the flesh of the two halves. You can then easily push on the skin to pop out the scored mango cubes and carefully slice them off of the skin with a knife.

Hack #2: Using a glass, scoop out the mango flesh from each half.  This will easily remove it from the skin and the flesh will conveniently land into the glass. Slice it up and enjoy!

5-Star Mango Salsa Recipe:

1 fresh jalapeño, minced
2 tablespoons lime juice
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 cups mango, chopped
1/4 cup red bell pepper, finely chopped
1 green onion, chopped
2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped

Combine all ingredients, mix well and refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving.
