Remember to Have Fun!
Article posted in: Diet & NutritionLife is filled with pressure, and there’s nothing wrong with taking life seriously. But the thing is, it’s important to balance all that seriousness with a little fun, and there’s no better time for fun than in the summertime. So Nutrisystem wants to ask you a question: have you had any fun today?
If your answer was yes, but it involved a business lunch or a spreadsheet, maybe you need to think more simply. Can you even remember what it is to have fun? If it all seems pretty distant to you now, no matter how old you are, here’s some advice: watch kids play. They have a great sense of fun. You can tell from all the laughter you can hear when they’re swinging on monkey bars or even just climbing in and out of a big box. It’s not a secret world they have, either; it’s accessible to you.
So what does this have to do with losing weight? Everything!
If you’re playing, you’re more willing to try new things, like new foods, and less apt to take those small fluctuations in your program quite so seriously. When you’re having fun, there’s a wonderful feeling of belonging and of having a place in the world. Kids feel like they can do anything, and that’s not a bad feeling to have once in a while.
So again, here’s the question: have you had any fun today? Be sure the answer is yes!
