Nutrisystem Success Stories Share What They’re Thankful For

While we think of the first Thanksgiving as the feast between the Plymouth colonists and the Wampanoag Indians that was shared in 1621, Thanksgiving wasn’t actually declared a national holiday until 1863. In the midst of the Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln finally declared that we should have a national holiday of giving thanks every November—even though the concept had been celebrated unofficially long before it was proclaimed a holiday.

With Thanksgiving upon us, we’re spending a lot of time thinking about gratitude. Research actually suggests that spending time reflecting on things you’re thankful for can have a number of positive effects on your health. In fact, a report from The University of Queensland in Australia found that a positive attitude can actually go as far as improving your immune system and helping you live longer.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we asked some of our Nutrisystem success stories to share what they’re most thankful for this holiday season. We hope that some of their responses will inspire you as they have inspired us.
