Mandi Knowles: Fermented foods are all the rage right now. They’re filled with probiotics for a healthy digestive system, and they enhance your immunity, and because it’s so popular we’re not limited to just plain old sauerkraut anymore.

They also have beet-flavored sauerkraut and also Korean kimchi, which is a spicier version of a fermented food. They go great with or on top of your Nutrisystem burger. We’re going to choose the beet-flavored version. That just kicks it up a little notch.

To get your Nutrisystem burger ready for this awesome topping, start by unwrapping it. Wrap the burger in a paper towel and put it in the microwave on high for one-and-a-half minutes. When it’s done, let the hamburger sit in the microwave for one minute.
