Not every dessert has to do damage to your diet. These Patriotic Popsicles, made with just fresh fruit and non-fat yogurt, are a healthy and delicious way to pay tribute to the good, old U.S. of A.

Sure, they’re great for parties. But they’re also a tasty and refreshing treat to keep in your freezer all summer long, for when the itch for something sweet and frozen strikes.

One serving of these patriotic pops counts as half of a SmartCarb and half of a PowerFuel on the Nutrisystem program.

Servings: 2 (recipe makes 4 popsicles; 1 serving = 2 popsicles)

Calories per Serving: 100

On Nutrisystem, Count As: ½ SmartCarb and ½ PowerFuel

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup blueberries
  • ½ cup strawberries
  • 1 cup non-fat plain greek yogurt

Directions:

  1. In a food processor, blend ¼ cup of yogurt with blueberries. Set aside.
  2. Blend ¼ cup of yogurt with strawberries. Set aside.
  3. In popsicle mold, add strawberry mixture, then ½ cup yogurt, top with blueberry mixture.
  4. Let freeze overnight.
