Hi, I’m Deanna Otranto with Nutrisystem. Today I’m going to show you how to make a really delicious taco salad using your Nutrisystem Chili with Beans dinner entree. All you’ll need with this recipe is three cups of shredded lettuce. One medium tomato, diced. A quarter cup of light cheddar cheese, shredded. And then, one ounce of whole wheat baked tortilla chips. To get started you’ll just make your Nutrisystem Chili with Beans according to the packaged instructions.
Remove the plastic lid, then pull off the metal seal. Replace the plastic lid on the container and then put it in the microwave for 45 to 60 seconds. When it’s done, leave it in the microwave for about a minute to cool off. When the chili is done, all you’re going to do is take your lettuce, and add it to your plate.
Add the diced tomatoes right on top and then you’re going to pour your chili right on top of that. Take your cheese and sprinkle it on top. [0:01:00] And because the chili’s nice and hot, it’s going to melt right in there. And then finally you’re going to use your baked tortilla chips. You can use this one of two ways, you can leave them on the side and dip into your dish, or you can actually crumble them right up. That’s what I like to do, so I’m going to go ahead and do that now.
