These Skinny Chocolate Donuts are crisp on the outside, and soft and doughy on the inside. They are topped with a sweet, chocolate glaze—so they taste just like they’re fresh out of the oven from your favorite bakery, but without all of the added calories. If you have an air fryer, whip up the batter for these donuts and pop them in the air fryer for a mere six minutes. Sans air fryer? No problem! Ingredients:
- ¾ cup whole wheat pastry flour
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- ¼ tsp. baking soda
- 1 large egg
- 3 Tbsp. Truvia Sugar Blend (cane or brown sugar)
- ¼ cup nonfat milk
- ¼ cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
- 2 Tbsp. light butter, melted
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 Tbsp. milk
- 1 Tbsp. greek yogurt
- 2 Tbsp. Truvia Cane Sugar Blend
Directions:
- Oven
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a donut pan with non-stick spray.
- Whisk egg, Truvia, milk, yogurt, butter and vanilla in a medium bowl until fully combined.
- Add flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda.
- Stir until combined. Batter should be thick.
- Spoon batter into a large zipped-top bag. Cut the corner off the bottom of the bag and pipe the batter into each donut cup. Fill about 2/3-3/4 the way full.
- Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from pan and let cool.
- To make chocolate glaze, combine ingredients and top on cooled donuts.
- Air Fryer
- Preheat Air Fryer to 350 degrees F. Spray a single donut pan/donut mold or mini bundt pan with non-stick spray.
- Whisk egg, Truvia, milk, yogurt, butter and vanilla in a medium bowl until fully combined.
- Add flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda.
- Stir until combined. Batter should be thick.
