For this delicious homemade marinade, you’ll need a large grapefruit, fresh orange juice, lime juice, jalapeno, extra virgin olive oil, minced garlic and honey. In a mixing bowl, thoroughly combine all ingredients. Combine this sweet and savory marinade with a pound of peeled, deveined shrimp in a gallon-sized zip top bag.

Close the zip top bag tightly and massage the contents into the shrimp or base of choice. Once the shrimp is well coated, refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to three hours.

Ingredients:

  • 1 large grapefruit, zested and juiced
  • ¼ cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 medium jalapeno, seeded, deveined, and minced

  • 1 tsp. honey

Directions:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together all marinade ingredients until well-combined.
  2. If desired, combine marinade with 1-pound peeled, deveined shrimp in a gallon-sized zip top bag. Close the bag tightly and massage to mix the contents, ensuring that the shrimp is well coated. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 3 hours.
