Peppermint bark doesn’t have to be filled with sugar and unhealthy ingredients! With our easy recipe, you can make a few simple swaps so that you can enjoy the cool and refreshing taste of peppermint paired with the rich flavor of chocolate. It even provides the crunch of crushed candy canes!

How to Make Peppermint Bark the Healthy Way

The first step to making healthy peppermint bark is melting the chocolate in the microwave. Place chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and heat them for 30 seconds at a time, stirring frequently until they are completely melted. Pour the melted chocolate onto a pan lined with parchment paper, spreading it into a thin, even layer. Place the pan in the freezer for about 10 minutes.

Next, mix together nonfat plain Greek yogurt with monk fruit sweetener, peppermint extract and vanilla extract. Spread the yogurt mixture on top of the frozen chocolate and sprinkle a crushed mini peppermint candy cane on top. Place the pan back into the freezer for two more hours. Break the peppermint bark into eight equal pieces and serve it frozen.

Want to cut down on the sugar even more? Consider using stevia-sweetened chocolate chips.
