When snacking on chips, there’s nothing more satisfying than a loud CRUNCH, is there? We didn’t think so. And if making your own crispy, crunchy and diet-approved Nacho Cheese Chips sounds like it’ll make your kitchen a full-on fiesta, then keep on reading!
A bag of greasy Nacho Chips from the grocery store is so very tempting to grab as you’re browsing through the aisles. But today you’ll be picking up the delicious and nutritious ingredients to whip up your own, and this recipe won’t derail your healthy diet like the store-bought brand. You’ll want to grab mini corn tortillas, yeast and the variety of spices listed below.
When you get back home with your healthy haul, you’ll cut the mini corn tortillas into six triangles. Throw the tortillas onto a baking sheet in a single layer and spray them with a nonstick spray and bake them for five to seven minutes (four minutes if using an air fryer) or until they’re slightly golden brown. Flip the chips over, spray them again, and bake for another five minutes (four minutes if using an air fryer). While the chips are baking, combine the yeast along with the spices in a bowl—thoroughly mix them together. For one last time, spray both sides of the chips with the nonstick spray and then toss them in the “nacho” seasoning.
Just like that, you have yourself a tasty and healthy snack!
