A Lower Calorie Alternative to a Fast Food Favorite

This brownie beverage was inspired by the Choco Brownie Extreme Blizzard® Treat from DQ® (also known as Dairy Queen). While both versions contain scrumptious pieces of brownie, cocoa and chocolaty fudge, you can rest assured knowing that our recipe fits into your weight loss plan. First of all, it’s perfectly portioned for weight loss so you don’t have to worry about how much you’re eating. Plus, it’s lower in calories, fat and carbohydrates than the DQ® option.

One serving of our Chocolate Brownie Milkshake contains just 159 calories, 6.5 grams of fat and around 26 grams of carbohydrates. On the other hand, a small Choco Brownie Extreme Blizzard® Treat from DQ® contains 620 calories, 28 grams of fat and 86 grams of carbohydrates. Even with their “mini” size, you’ll be consuming 400 calories, 17 grams of fat and 56 grams of carbohydrates.* It’s safe to say that our recipe will satisfy your ice cream cravings without sabotaging your weight loss!

An Easy Chocolate Brownie Milkshake Recipe

The Nutrisystem Chocolate Brownie Sundae is the base of this easy milkshake. Never tried this frozen favorite? Featuring hunks of brownie and decadent fudge ribbons folded into chocolate ice cream, it’s a smart snack that’s also a good source of protein and fiber.

To make this Chocolate Brownie Milkshake, you’ll use your blender to combine the Nutrisystem Chocolate Brownie Sundae with unsweetened cocoa powder, unsweetened almond milk, bananas and peanut butter. Once it’s blended to perfection, stir in a little bit of chopped brownies, chocolate chips or cacao nibs for more even chocolaty flavor.

Pro Tip: Have another Extra to spare for the day? For a beautiful presentation, you can drizzle some sugar-free chocolate syrup into your glass before pouring in the milkshake. You could also top your Chocolate Brownie Milkshake with some low-fat whipped cream and some extra brownie pieces or cacao nibs.
