How to Make an Acai Bowl

Many acai bowls are made with either frozen acai puree or acai powder. We chose frozen acai puree for our healthy acai bowl recipe. These are typically available as packets in the frozen section of some grocery stores.

Add one packet of frozen acai puree into your blender with one frozen banana, a half-cup of frozen mixed berries, a half-cup of pineapple or mango chunks, and a half-cup of unsweetened almond milk. If you’re craving both pineapple and mango, you can use a quarter-cup of each instead of choosing just one.

Blend the smoothie bowl base ingredients together until smooth, then divide them among two separate bowls. Top the bowls equally with the smoothie bowl toppings, including granola, chopped kiwi, unsweetened shredded coconut, pineapple or mango chunks, and macadamia nuts.
