Drizzled with a homemade coconut oil-based cinnamon syrup, there is no shortage of flavor in this magnificent mug muffin. Enjoy it as a diet-friendly dessert, sweet snack idea or balanced breakfast on your Nutrisystem program.

To create this two-minute mug miracle, prep your favorite large coffee mug with nonstick cooking spray. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine vanilla protein powder, whole wheat flour, cinnamon, baking powder, unsweetened almond milk, egg whites and brown sugar. Carefully pour the batter into your mug and microwave the cinnamon cake for about two minutes.

While your cinnamon cake is “baking” in the microwave, whip up the quick cinnamon syrup by combining melted coconut oil, cinnamon and brown sugar in a small bowl. Pour the cinnamon syrup over your finished mug cake and serve with a spoon.

Tasty tip: Feel free to top your mug cake with a dollop of low-fat or fat-free whipped topping to pump up the flavor factor. Just make sure to count this addition towards your daily Extras. If you’re a chocolate lover, you can easily swap in Chocolate Nutrisystem Protein and Probiotic Shake Mix.
