On Nutrisystem, Count As: 1 SmartCarb and 2 Extras
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 Tbsp. light butter
- 1 ¼ cup unsweetened almond milk
- ½ cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup strawberries, sliced
- Combine flour, cocoa powder and baking powder in a bowl.
- In a separate bowl, melt butter and chocolate chips together.
- Pour the milk and chocolate mixture into the flour mixture. Mix well.
- Preheat a waffle iron and spray with a nonstick spray. Pour in ½ cup of batter and cook according to the waffle iron manufacturer's directions.
- Remove waffle and repeat with remaining batter.
- Top finished waffles with sliced strawberries.
