Use up those leftover candy canes to make this seasonal sweet treat! If you have an abundance of the classic, sweet peppermint sticks hanging on your Christmas tree, you’ve just found the perfect snack recipe to use them up quickly. Featuring just four ingredients and a few easy steps (Don’t worry, no baking required!), these Chocolate Peppermint Marshmallow Sticks come together quickly for a party-perfect finger food that your guests will love. They are perfect for a holiday hot cocoa bar or even your New Year’s Eve celebrations!

To make these Chocolate Peppermint Marshmallow Sticks, all you need is eight marshmallows, two peppermint candy canes, two pretzel rods and a quarter-cup of chocolate chips. You can use white, milk or dark chocolate. Better yet, use a combination of all three!

Chocolate Peppermint Marshmallow SticksBreak off the curved tops of the candy canes and place them into a plastic bag. Crush them using a mallet and pour the crushed candy canes into a bowl. Break the remaining candy canes and pretzel rods in half so they are shorter sticks.

Next, place the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and heat them until they are fully melted. Be sure to stir them every 30 seconds to help prevent burning! Dip one end of the sticks into chocolate and then press each one into a marshmallow. This will help to keep the marshmallows on the sticks.

Let your marshmallow sticks sit until the chocolate hardens a bit. Then dunk the marshmallows into the melted chocolate and then into the crushed candy. Finally, refrigerate your finished Chocolate Peppermint Marshmallow Sticks for 15 minutes until the chocolate has set.
