One of our favorite things to make on the grill is Jalapeno Cheddar Burgers. They’re easy to make and always a hit with friends and family. Here’s how to make them:

First, prepare the burger patties by mixing together lean ground beef, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, reduced fat shredded cheddar cheese, chopped cilantro, chopped jalapeno, Worcestershire sauce and smoked paprika. Form the burger mixture into six patties, then place in fridge for at least 30 minutes to rest.

Next, cook the burger patties on the grill for three to six minutes per side, until they’re cooked to your preference. Top each patty with more cheese at the last minute of cooking. Remove them from the heat, then toast the whole wheat hamburger buns on the grill for 30 to 60 seconds.

Finally, mix together light mayonnaise and sriracha for a creamy sriracha mayo to spread on the toasted buns. Top each bun with a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice and a jalapeno burger patty. And voila – enjoy your delicious spicy jalapeno cheddar burgers!
