Air Fryer Peanut Butter Banana S’mores
Recipe posted in: Flex Meals & Snacks, Snacks, Snacks, DessertsIt’s campfire season and we’re all thinking about our favorite fireside snack. Sure, you can easily whip a s’more in your backyard fire pit when the weather is nice. But what about those rainy summer nights or cold winter days? Now you can enjoy s’mores all year long with a little help from your air fryer! And if you thought s’mores couldn’t get any better, wait until you try them with another delicious pairing: banana and peanut butter!
There are a few things that make this next s’mores recipe unique. We switch up the cooking method by swapping out the classic campfire with your favorite countertop appliance, the air fryer! This allows you to whip up a sweet s’more in any weather or season. Simply preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees and place two graham cracker squares into the air fryer basket.
There’s no chocolate found in this s’more recipe! Next, spread each graham cracker with peanut butter and top them with sliced bananas—a small deviation from the original recipe that adds big flavor and nutrition. Top each s’more with a marshmallow and cook them for about three minutes in the air fryer. Cap them off with another graham cracker square before digging in! Just be careful as the s’more will be very hot after removing it from the air fryer. You may need to let it cool down a bit before you take your first bite.
One serving of these Air Fryer Peanut Butter Banana S’mores contains 121 calories. You can count your s’more as half of a SmartCarb and two Extras in your food journal. You are allotted three Extras per day on Nutrisystem, so be sure to keep track of them for the best results.
